Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to All Coast Swim Stars! We are excited to have you join our community of swimmers. Our mission is to provide a safe, engaging, and structured learning environment where every swimmer can build confidence, develop skills, and enjoy the water. This handbook serves as a detailed guide to our policies, programs, and procedures. Please take the time to review the information, and feel free to contact us with any questions.
Our Learn to Swim Program
At All Coast Swim Stars, we focus on fostering water safety, skill development, and a love for swimming. Our programs cater to various ages and skill levels, ensuring that every child receives the appropriate level of instruction.
Program Structure
Infants and Babies (4 months - 2 years)
- Parent-assisted classes designed to introduce water familiarity and safety.
- Focus on comfort, gentle movements, and early breath control techniques.
- Builds a foundation for future independent swimming.
Level 1 Transition (2-3 years)
- Introduction to an aquatic environment with minimal exposure.
- Parents either accompany their child in the water or remain poolside to assist with the transition to instructor-led classes.
- Focus on water safety and confidence-building exercises.
Levels 1-6
- Progressive swim instruction covering fundamental swimming techniques.
- Emphasis on water awareness, safety, and proficiency in all four swimming strokes.
- Designed to gradually build skills for independent and confident swimming.
Silver/Gold Academy
- Invitation-only squad training program.
- Advanced training to refine strokes, techniques, and competitive skills.
- Designed for swimmers aiming to pursue advanced swim coaching or competitive swimming.
Enrolments & Parent Portal
- Enrolments can be completed through our website, inquiry forms, or at reception.
- Upon enrolment, parents must register on the Parent Portal.
- The Parent Portal provides access to:
- Class schedules
- Payments and account management
- Absence reporting
- Make-up lesson booking
- Lesson changes or cancellations require a minimum of two weeks' notice.
Free Trial Policy
- All new students are eligible for one complimentary trial lesson.
- After the trial, parents must confirm their child’s enrolment at reception.
- Payment for the remainder of the month is required to secure ongoing placement.
Payments & Fees
- Fees are charged monthly in advance, with payments due one day before the start of each month.
- Payments are made via Direct Debit, which must be set up through the Parent Portal.
- Failure to pay fees on time may result in loss of enrolment.
- Direct Debits are processed on the final Friday of each month.
- Multi-child discounts and promotions may be available.
Make-Up Lesson Policy
- Students are allowed two make-up tokens per month for missed lessons.
- Make-up tokens must be redeemed within three months.
- Make-up classes are subject to availability and do not replace regular scheduled lessons.
- Cancellations must be made at least 30 minutes before a scheduled lesson to qualify for a make-up token.
- Private lesson cancellations require advanced notice.
- A $13 cancellation fee applies in lieu of a make-up class if opting for a refund.
Swim Cap, Swim Nappy & Goggle Policy
- Swim caps are mandatory for all students in Level 1 Transition and above.
- Children under three years old or not fully toilet-trained must wear a snug-fitting swim nappy.
- Only Happy Nappy or similar reusable swim nappies are permitted.
- Goggles are not permitted until Level 2 to ensure children develop confidence and comfort in the water without reliance on them.
- Learning to swim without goggles helps children:
- Adjust to water on their face naturally.
- Improve breath control and body positioning.
- Develop essential safety skills for real-life water situations where goggles may not be available.
- These policies help maintain hygiene, skill progression, and the highest water quality standards.
Active Kids Vouchers
- We are a registered provider for Active Kids NSW government vouchers.
- Redeem Vouchers here - active-kids-submit
- Allow up to seven days for processing before the credit is applied.
School Holidays & Public Holidays
- Lessons run year-round, except for:
- Christmas Break
- Winter Break (2nd week of July school holidays)
- Public holidays
- No charges apply for lessons that fall on scheduled closures.
Silver/Gold/Diamond Academy
- This exclusive, invitation-only program is led by our experienced coaches.
- Swimmers will master the fundamentals of all strokes, engage in specialized drills, and prepare for advanced training.
- Focus areas include:
- Competitive swim techniques
- Endurance and speed building
- Mindset and discipline for high-level swimming
- For eligibility inquiries, please contact our coaching team.
Pool Safety Rules & Expectations
For the safety of all swimmers, we ask parents and children to follow these guidelines:
- Supervision: Parents must supervise children at all times outside of lessons.
- Footwear: Please wear shoes with grip on the pool deck. Eg. Sneakers or similar.
- Shower Before Entering: Swimmers must rinse off before entering the pool.
- No Running: To prevent slips and falls, running is prohibited.
- Illness: Children experiencing fever, vomiting, or contagious illnesses should not attend lessons.
- Respect for Others: Be mindful of other swimmers and follow instructor directions at all times.
